Shorter and More Effective Treatments
No other lasers cut as fast as LightWalker lasers for hard and soft tissues. With LightWalker, procedures are typically shorter, easier to perform and more effective. An additional advantage of laser treatment is that recovery time is much faster. Laser treatments are by nature minimally invasive, and LightWalker takes this concept to a new level.
Patient Comfort
Working with LightWalker is less stressful for the patient because pain and bleeding are minimal if any. LightWalker lasers are so gentle for cavity preparations and most soft-tissue procedures that patients rarely require any anesthetic. Laser light allows you to work in a non-contact way and without drilling noise, which is far more comfortable for patients, especially children. Unlike conventional techniques, using a dental laser for soft-tissue surgery means that the procedures can be done without the need for a scalpel or sutures. Because of the cauterising effect of laser energy the procedure is bloodless and pain-free. In addition treatment times and post-operative healing are much quicker.
Deep Disinfection Effects
LightWalker allows you to simultaneously disinfect and prevent cross-contamination. The Nd:YAG’s deep disinfection effects (above 500 µm) offer significant benefits in closed curettage procedures in periodontics and in root canal treatments in endodontics. After endodontic laser treatments, the root canals and subcanals are left clean and the dentinal tubules are completely free of a smear layer. Because the heat from the laser effectively cleans and sterilizes the canals from bacteria, fewer follow-up visits are required than with conventional treatments.

“It’s a fabulous piece of equipment”
“This laser by far outperforms any laser on the market today. There is nothing that can come close. And I’ve used them all… It’s the easiest, most intuitive laser that you could ever purchase. And as far as return on investment – when it comes to getting patients into your practice who are expecting you to use the laser – you can do the procedures quicker… It makes the surgery heal faster and it’s better for the patient. The cutting speed is fantastic. I do crown preps with my laser. It’s very efficient, and I believe it’s because of the digital pulse and the fact that we can use a 50 ms pulse duration, and also the tipless handpiece which doesn’t have any degradation of the laser energy. It just cuts amazingly fast. The versatility of the settings of the laser, the dual wavelengths, and also the fact that the laser is mechanically sound – it doesn’t break down – is huge. I could go on and on about the advantages, but more importantly, it’s just a fabulous piece of equipment that’s better for your patient than what conventional means provides.” – Dr. Mark Colonna, DDS
